As you embark on your tour of Tel Aviv, you will discover the city with emphasis on the situation in Israel and the impact it had on our daily life.

You'll stroll through the ancient streets of Jaffa, the oldest part of Tel Aviv, where tales of centuries past echo through the winding alleyways. Here, you'll encounter the enchanting Jaffa Port, a historic site that has seen the ebb and flow of civilisations.

Moving into modern Tel Aviv, you'll witness a bustling metropolis teeming with life. Visiting sites like Rabin Square, named after the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, will allow for discussions on pivotal moments in Israel's history and the ongoing pursuit of peace and coexistence.

Moreover, while touring Tel Aviv's streets, you'll witness firsthand the resilience and creativity of its people. You'll see how this cosmopolitan city continues to thrive amid the backdrop of a complex geopolitical landscape.

Throughout the tour, our guide will delicately address the current situation in Israel, providing historical context and insight into the complexities of the region. You will discuss the ongoing efforts towards peace, the diverse cultural fabric that defines Israel, and the challenges faced by its inhabitants.

In the evening we go on a bar-hopping adventure, encounter locals in vibrant costumes, hear the echoes of laughter, and immerse yourself in the pulsating rhythm of the city's nightlife. Engage in conversations with fellow travelers, sharing stories and toasting to the joyous spirit of Purim.

After breakfast, we participate in panel discussions representing a spectrum of viewpoints from various backgrounds. Each speaker brings forth their unique insights, offering a nuanced understanding of the changes that followed the tragic massacre. 

We continue for a tour of Tel Aviv's Carmel Market. Amidst the spice sacks and fresh fruit stalls, learning about the key fresh and dried ingredients for Israeli cooking. After enjoying the sights and scents (and a few tastings!), we will return to the modern home kitchen studio just steps from the market to prepare a meal to remember with a menu based on Israeli cuisine’s diverse ethnic influences.

Embarking on this heartfelt solidarity tour, you undertake a journey that spans a 1.5-hour drive southward, venturing into the heart of resilience and hope near the Gaza border. Your first stop on this emotional odyssey takes you to one of the kibbutzim where you witness firsthand the communal strength and unwavering spirit of the people living in this region. These kibbutzim, with their close-knit communities, serve as beacons of hope, showcasing the resilience of individuals facing adversity together.

Next, you'll visit Sderot, a town that has faced numerous challenges, including the destruction of its police station. Standing amidst the remnants of the station, you reflect on the resilience of the local law enforcement and the community, who continue to persevere in the face of hardship.

In a meeting with the elected official of Sderot, you'll receive a comprehensive overview of the town's struggles and triumphs. He/she will share stories of bravery, determination, and community solidarity, underscoring the importance of local leadership in times of crisis.

During your tour, you'll pause for a heartfelt lunch in a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of the region and engaging with the locals. This meal not only nourishes your body but also serves as a reminder of the shared humanity that binds us all together.

Depart Tel Aviv in the morning and travel to Jerusalem for a full day trip.

Once arrived, start your day at the newly reopened (June, 2023) Tower of David Museum with an exhibition spanning 10 galleries and combining innovative technology, interactive presentations, archaeological finds and ancient artifacts to illustrate the history of Jerusalem through the ages. Climb to the top of the Tower of David to enjoy the exquisite panoramic views of the Old and the New City.

Continue to the Western Wall, also known as the Kotel or the Wailing Wall for a joint prayer. It is considered one of the holiest places in Judaism and holds immense spiritual and historical importance.

Continue to Yad Vashem Museum, Israel’s official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust, before finishing the day with a dinner at the Notre Dame Rooftop. Enjoy delicious cuisine as speakers, including community members, share perspectives on Jerusalem's rich history, cultural diversity, and ongoing efforts for unity. Engage in conversations that offer a deeper understanding of the city's complexities, leaving with a taste of Jerusalem's essence and a broader appreciation for its intricate tapestry.

Today, your journey takes you to the captivating region of Israel's northern border near Lebanon, where you will embark on a unique exploration that blends scenic beauty with a profound insight into the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah. 

Your exploration will then take you to Kiryat Shmona, where you will be having lunch with one of the elected officials of the city and will gain firsthand insights into the challenges they face.

Continue to Safed, a city located at an elevation of up to 937 meters. It's famous for its historical importance in Jewish mysticism (Kabbalah), its vibrant artistic community, and its cultural heritage.

As the day unfolds, you will have the opportunity to learn about the special partnership and deep bond between the Druze community and Israel. The Druze, a unique ethnic and religious minority, have a rich cultural heritage and a long history of coexistence with the people of Israel. Following a delicious dinner in one of their villages will allow you to engage in meaningful conversations, gaining deeper insights into their way of life, their perspectives on the conflict, and their hopes for the future.

Visit the ANU Museum of the Jewish People
This brand new museum features four wings telling the story of the Jewish people, from ancient times up to the present.

The museum features the most important and unique manuscript in the world - the Codex Sassoon. It is the oldest, most complete Bible, and is a rare and valuable testimony to the history of the biblical text. The story of the Codex itself allows a glimpse into fascinating chapters in the history of the Jewish people.

Later on, enjoy sunset yoga at the beach, just a few steps from your hotel. Take the opportunity to unwind, find inner peace, and rejuvenate the body and mind amidst the beauty of nature's transition from day to night.
 

Head to Ben Gurion International Airport while reflecting on a newfound understanding and cherishing the memories made during your journey.
